Installation

IMPORTANT: If you are updating read this!

First download the zip file(s).
Psion: The zip file contains a SIS file for easy installation on the Psion. Install like any other SIS file.
Other systems: The zip file contains a Java jar file. The command for starting jNote is

   java -jar jNote.jar

For Microsoft Windows the zip file contains a batch file. If you have not put Java to your system path, then you have to edit the batch file and set the correct path to where java.exe can be found. On other systems than windows look into the documentation which comes with your JDK/JRE.
First start: On the first start jNote greets you with a welcome message.
Then it asks you for the location of the jNote data folder. Select a location in the fileselector. You don't have to make a new directory, because jNote will make a new directory in the location you choose.
After this you are asked for the name of your first jNote data file. Please enter a name without any extension. That's it!
