OVERVIEW

This year's NMRA Annual Convention took place in San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley.

San Jose is about one hour of driving (except during rush hours) south of San Francisco.

Lots of fun during an operating session at a highly detailed layout built in an old depot, applying Track Warrants and Card Order Freight Forwarding
Demonstration during the Convention
During the NMRA Convention, an operating layout was available for participants to practice operation, e.g. freight car forwarding with tabs on cars.
Operation on Layouts Visited
Some of the layouts visited during minibus and carpool tours organized by the LD SIG and the OpSIG provided the possibility to watch operating sessions and discuss aspects of operation with the owners and with some of the operators.
