Software
Installation
-
download the zipped installation package of the ispDesignEXPERT
via the
coursepage (this file is very large (280 Mb), make sure
that you have
sufficient diskspace)
- unzip this file, you get a folder "ispDesignExpert"
- doubleclick "setup.exe" in this folder
- install the ispDesignExpert, e.g. in "C:\Program
Files\ispTOOLS\"
(the version I have used for the experiments is 8.1.19.35)
- We will need the serial number of the volume so you
open a DOS-shell and type "vol C:", you get
a volume serial number, write it down
- follow the link to the Lattice license page at
http://www.latticesemi.com/products/devtools/licensing/flexlmlicense.cfm
- you need to register (typing in your name and address)
- then you can type in the serial number of your harddisk
and your email
- you will receive a license file via email (as attachment)
- save the license file in "C:\Program Files\ispTOOLS\ispcomp\license\"
- the ispDesignEXPERT is operational now
-
you need in addition the newest version (v9.x) of the
ispVM to be able to
download your designs into the CLPDs with Win2K
- simply download the ispVM installation package via
the course webpage
- double click "ispvmsystem904_d.exe"
- if you installed the old version together with the
DesignExpert, you need
to install the new ispVM in a new directory, e.g.
"C:\Program Files\ispTOOLSnew\"
