The project ISTANBUL on LINE is a big study about a 26 km long path (Line) straight across Istanbul. It shows, how a city can be observed by >line-walking<. In February 2007 a group of 8 people (students of architecture, urban design, and photography) walked in 3 days on one single Line from West to East, to face the big metropolitan area and public space of Istanbul in an experimental way. The continuous walk is an intensive urban adventure and a big experience full of life, that produced a new imagination beyond the official image about Istanbul.
