KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK is the first and Thailand’s oldest
national park. Located only some 2 hours northeast of Bangkok, Khao Yai
contains beautiful forests, some 2,000 - 2,500 plants species, over 350 bird
species and large mammals including elephant, white hand gibbon, gaur,
Asiatic black bear and wild dog. It is only one of the few places where you
still have a chance to see wild roaming elephants, and rare exotic wildlife
including the occasional tiger. Thankfully, the local wildlife is kept at a
distance and away from the fairways! Khao Yai is a real insider. Khao Yai is
easily reached via a good highway from Bangkok. The journey is definitely
worth it. Ideal golfing in natural, un-crowded surroundings is an excellent
experience all golfers quest for! |
